Tom has worked in the professional Theatre as an actor and director for the past 45 years. He made his acting debut in a national touring production of “The Reluctant Debutante”, starring Joseph Cotten. After attending Sanford Meisner's Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC where he took acting classes, he continued studying privately with William Esper, one of America's most renowned acting teachers. His acting credits range from Neil Simon to William Shakespeare, from Off-Off Brodway to many Regional Theaters across the US. Since moving to Los Angeles he has been seen in many Independent Shakespeare Company (ISC) productions. His directorial credits include New York productions of Athol Fugard’s “The Road to Mecca” and Marsha Norman’s “’night, Mother”, for which he received a NY State Theatre Festival Best Director award. He also directed Graceland for the American Stage Festival, One Shoe On, One Shoe Off at NYC’s Pulse Esemble Theare, and a New York State Arts Council tour of The Good Doctor. His film "In the Morning of His Fame" about 19 th Century American actor Joseph Haworth is part of the permanent theatre collection at New York’s Lincoln Center.

ABOUT ME

I AM AN ACTOR AND DIRECTOR

After residing and working in NYC for over 30 years, Thomas relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 to continue his career as an actor. He has worked in the professional theatre for the past 45 years both as an actor and director.
He made his acting debut in a national touring production of THE RELUCTANT DEBUTANTE, starring Joseph Cotten.
After attending the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC, he studied acting privately with William Esper, one of the most respected acting teachers in the US.
He has been seen on stage as an actor and director in NYC, LA, and in many regional theatres across the US.
Since moving to LA, Tom has been a member of the Independent Shakespeare Co, and has been seen in over two dozen productions. Some of his roles include: Polonius in HAMLET, Raganeau in CYRANO, Brabantio in OTHELLO, Gremio in TAMING OF THE SHREW, Robin Starvling in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, King Duncan in MACBETH, Adam in AS YOU LIKE IT, Bardolph in HENRY IV, PART 1 &2, Shallow in MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, and Verges in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.
Among his other Los Angeles appearances was a SPQR Stage Company Production of THE MISSLE MAN OF PEENEMUNDE about Wernher Von Braun written and directed by Bill Serritt and as Marcellus and Osric in HAMLET at the Odyssey Theater.
His directorial credits include New York productions of Athol Fugard’s THE ROAD TO MECCA, and Marsha Norman’s ’NIGHT, MOTHER, for which he received a NY State Theatre Festival Best Director award. He also directed GRACELAND for the American Stage Festival in St. Petersburg, FL, ONE SHOE ON, ONE SHOE OFF at NYC’s Pulse Ensemble Theatre, and a New York State Arts Council tour of Neil Simon's THE GOOD DOCTOR. He co-directed a production of THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE with Joseph Culliton at the Sierra Madre Playhouse and several versions of evenings of Shakespeare and songs with LA Opera performed in the Grand Manner Portrait Gallery at the Huntington in Pasadena, CA.
His documentary film In the Morning of His Fame about the 19th Century actor Joseph Haworth is part of the permanent theatre collection at New York’s Lincoln Center.
